Geographical Features
Gwangmyeong is located in the center of the western part of Gyeonggi-do, bordering Seoul to the east and north, Siheung and Bucheon to the west, and Anyang to the south.
With a total area of 38.5 km2, Gwangmyeong has Gureumsan Mountain and Dogonae Pass, which are the end of the Gwangjusan Mountains, in its center. However, overall, Gwangmyeong is plain and low with an altitude of 30 to 290 m above sea level.
