Geographical features

Gwangmyeong is located in the center of western Gyeonggi-do, and it borders Seoul to the east and north, Siheung and Bucheon to the west and Anyang to the south. The total area covers 38.5㎢, and Gureumsan Mountain and Dogonae Hill located at the end of Gwangju Mountain chain are placed in the center of the city. Overall, however, it is a low flat area at an elevation of 30-290 meters.
