There is a 194m long wine cave in Gwangmyeong Cave that has an average yearly temperature of 12 degrees. Gwangmyeong, a city that was traditionally without wine, has become the mecca of Korean produced wine through its wine cave.

The Gwangmyeong wine cave is the only place in Korea that sells all types of domestic wine in one place.
- Wine tasting with eight provinces' wineries takes place
- Every Saturday, Sunday 12pm ~ 4pm

- The Gwangmyeong Wine Cave contains many interesting stories about its history, production, glass and festival,
manufacturing process and label. Visitors can also buy and experience excellent quality locally produced wines using speciality fruit.

Realization of a Win-win Economic
Opportunity between Regions
Gwangmyeong City concludes an agreement with 27 of local governments and a winery which produces wine, which has helped to develop a win-win economic opportunity through supporting wine manufaturers and related processed material manufaturers. Sales of high quality locally produced wine was low due to inconvinient distribution processes in the past, however things have picked up with the development of the the Gwangmyeong Wine Cave.
