There are many restaurants, such as tteokgalbi, tteokbokki, gimbap, and chicken gangjeong, as well as kalguksu, grilled fish, and sundaeguk. With convenient transportation. it is the representative market of Gwangmyeong City, visited by many customers from parts of Seoul, such as Guro and Geumcheon, as well as from Bucheon and Siheung.

Saemaeul Market

Around 190 shops have been operated in Saemaeul Market since 1986. Just like Gwangmyeong traditional Market, it has developed as one of Gwangmyeong’s representative traditional markets. A variety of goods are sold including food, daily necessities, fruits and vegetable. The market has been renovated to make it a cleaner, more comfortable space through the Traditional Market Renovation Project. This Project includes repair of broadcasting equipment and electrically-operated windows, maintenance of facilities and equipment, customer service center remodeling and maintenance of arcade. Saemaeul Market is also being utilized as a new shopping center for young people.
