○ Gwang-i: Name taken after the first syllable ‘Gwang (light)’ of Gwangmyeong City and symbolizes the luminous future of Gwangmyeong City.
○ Myeong-i: Name taken after the second syllable ‘Myeong (brightness)’ of Gwangmyeong City and symbolizes the bright happiness of Gwangmyeong citizens.

It has long been considered the bird of good luck bringing good news and it symbolizes hope of the citizens.
