The Gwangmyeong Municipal Choir started as a choir of mothers in 1981 and was promoted to a municipal choir in 2000. It has been leading the choral culture of Gwangmyeong ever since.
The Gwangmyeong Municipal Choir contributes to raising the standards of choral music and enhancing the image of Gwangmyeong as a cultural and artistic city by participating in regular concerts, various planned performances, and invitation-only performances. They also engage in various festivals, institutional events, and performances at educational institutions to communicate with the citizens of Gwangmyeong and act as cultural ambassadors for the city.

Municipal Farmers’ Band
The Gwangmyeong Municipal Farmers’ Band was established to inherit and preserve farmers’ music of Gwangmyeong, which is designated as Gyeonggi-do Intangible Cultural Heritage No. 20.
The Gwangmyeong Municipal Farmers’ Band participates in regular performances, invitation-only concerts, and numerous contest projects to promote the excellence of farmers’ music of Gwangmyeong and contribute to the development of Gwangmyeong's traditional cultural arts.
